What is progressive onboarding?
When you sign up for Knotie AI Pro, the platform walks you through a short first-login flow that sets up your partner portal around how you plan to use it:- Welcome video — a quick tour of what the platform can do
- Track picker — choose the areas you expect to use most
- Your sidebar, set up for you — your navigation is immediately focused on what you picked
Step 1 — Welcome video
The first thing you see after logging in is a short welcome video. Watch it for a quick overview of the platform, then click Continue to move on to the track picker.Step 2 — Track picker
The track picker shows a set of tracks — broad areas that describe how you plan to use Knotie AI Pro. Pick every track that fits your agency. Tracks you might see include:| Track | What it covers |

How your tracks shape the sidebar
Once you confirm, your sidebar fills in with the features that match the tracks you chose. Features outside your tracks stay tucked away to keep things simple — they show up once you unlock them through challenges or ask your account manager to turn them on.Choosing a track never locks you out of anything. You can unlock any feature later through the level system challenges or by asking Knotie support. The picker is a starting point, not a limit.
Already a partner? Here’s what changed
If you joined Knotie AI Pro before progressive onboarding launched, you’ll see a one-time welcome-back screen the first time you log in after the update. It briefly explains what changed in the portal layout. Existing partners keep access to the full set of features — the new-partner picker doesn’t apply to you. Your sidebar still shows everything you were using before, plus anything that’s been added since you joined.Coming back to the picker
The track picker is a first-login experience. Once you finish it, your choices are saved and the picker won’t pop up again on its own. To change your track preferences later, contact Knotie support, or use the level system challenges to unlock more features one at a time.How tracks connect to the level system
Your chosen tracks also shape which challenges show up in your queue. Pick the VPS & Apps track and your early challenges guide you through deploying your first app. Pick Voice AI and they walk you through creating a voice agent and assigning it a phone number. In other words, the level system adapts to the kind of agency you’re building — it’s not a one-size-fits-all checklist.
