The approval app lets your customers approve or deny risky actions their AI agents want to take — such as sending an email or taking a payment — from their phone. Share this page with customers when you turn approvals on for them. Customers find everything on the Approvals page in their portal. The Approvals page, with the Get the approval app panel, the Download for Android button, a blurred QR code, and the How this works steps

Step 1: Install the app

  1. In the portal, open Approvals.
  2. On the phone you want to approve from, either:
    • scan the QR code with the phone’s camera, or
    • select Download for Android.
On iPhone, the app isn’t open to everyone yet. Contact your provider to ask for an invitation.

Step 2: Pair your phone

  1. On the Approvals page, select Pair a phone.
  2. Open the approval app on your phone and scan the code shown in the portal.
  3. When pairing finishes, the portal confirms your phone is paired.
Your phone now appears under Your phones. You can pair more than one phone — each one is notified, and the first answer counts. The Your phones section before any phone is paired, with the Pair a phone button

Step 3: Choose what needs approval

Under What needs your approval, switch on the actions an AI agent must ask you about first. Actions appear here once you connect an app on the Integration page. Some actions may show a padlock. These were set by your provider and can’t be switched off.

Approve a request

When an agent tries an action that needs approval, your phone shows exactly what it wants to do. Approve with Face ID or your fingerprint and the action goes ahead. Deny it and nothing happens.

Troubleshooting

“We cannot tell whether your phone paired” If the app says your phone is paired, close the message — your phone will appear under Your phones. If not, close it and select Pair a phone again. The pairing code stopped working Codes only last a short time. Close the pairing window and select Pair a phone again for a new code.
