What Phone Numbers is for

The Phone Numbers section helps you manage numbers used by voice agents. You can:
  • Import phone numbers
  • Assign a number to a customer
  • Assign a number to a specific AI agent
  • Control inbound/outbound behavior (based on your provider setup)

Where to find it

In the Partner Portal sidebar, open Phone Numbers.

Understand ownership (partner vs customer)

A phone number can be owned by:
  • Partner: the number belongs to you (the agency) and can be assigned to customers.
  • Customer: the number belongs to a customer account.
This matters for billing, permissions, and what actions you can take.

Import phone numbers

  1. Go to Phone Numbers.
  2. Click Import (or Import Numbers).
  3. Follow the import flow and confirm.
After import, you’ll see the number in your list.

Assign a phone number to a customer

  1. Find the number in the list.
  2. Open the actions menu.
  3. Choose Assign to Customer.
  4. Pick the customer and confirm.

Assign a phone number to an agent

If you want a number to route to a specific agent:
  1. Find the number.
  2. Open the actions menu.
  3. Choose Assign Agent.
  4. Select:
    • Provider (Retell, VAPI, Ultravox, etc.)
    • The agent
    • Inbound/outbound preferences (if shown)
  5. Save.
The Phone Numbers page supports filters such as:
  • Search: number, friendly name, or customer
  • Provider
  • Status
  • Assigned vs unassigned
  • Ownership: partner vs customer
  • Customer filter
These filters help when you manage large volumes.

Troubleshooting

  • Calls aren’t reaching the agent
    • Confirm the number is assigned to the correct customer.
    • Confirm the agent assignment exists and is active.
    • Check inbound/outbound settings.
  • A number can’t be deleted
    • Unassign it from customers/agents first, then try again.
