What this is for

The Phone Numbers section is where you manage the numbers your voice agents use. From here you can:
  • Import phone numbers
  • Assign a number to a customer
  • Assign a number to a specific AI agent
  • Control whether a number handles inbound or outbound calls

Where to find it

Open Phone Numbers in the Partner Portal sidebar.

Who owns a number

A number can belong to either:
  • You (the partner) — your agency owns it, and you can assign it out to customers.
  • A customer — it belongs to that customer’s account.
Ownership affects billing, permissions, and what you’re able to do with the number.

Import phone numbers

  1. Open Phone Numbers.
  2. Click Import Numbers.
  3. Follow the steps and confirm.
Once it’s done, the number shows up in your list.

Assign a number to a customer

  1. Find the number in the list.
  2. Open its actions menu.
  3. Choose Assign to Customer.
  4. Pick the customer and confirm.

Assign a number to an agent

To route a number to a specific agent:
  1. Find the number.
  2. Open its actions menu.
  3. Choose Assign Agent.
  4. Select the provider (Retell, VAPI, Ultravox, and so on), the agent, and whether it’s for inbound or outbound calls.
  5. Save.

Find numbers quickly

When you’re managing a lot of numbers, the filters and search make it easy to narrow things down — by number, name, or customer, and by provider, status, ownership, or whether a number is assigned yet.

What the list shows

Each number in the list shows its details at a glance: the number itself with a friendly name and country flag, the customer it belongs to, the agent it’s assigned to (or an Assign Agent button if there isn’t one yet), whether it handles inbound or outbound calls, its provider, its status, and what it can do (voice, SMS, MMS). The top of the page also gives you a quick summary — how many numbers you own, how many belong to customers, how many are unassigned, and how many are ready to take calls — along with buttons to import numbers, export your list, and manage number pools.

Troubleshooting

  • Calls aren’t reaching the agent
    • Check the number is assigned to the right customer.
    • Check the agent assignment exists and is active.
    • Check the inbound/outbound settings.
  • A number won’t delete
    • Unassign it from any customers and agents first, then try again.
