Email (any mailbox) connects an email account from almost any provider — for example Hostinger, Namecheap, GoDaddy/Titan, or cPanel — so your AI agents can work with it. You choose exactly what each agent is allowed to do, from just reading email to sending it. It’s marked Beta and is one of the free apps you can offer every customer.
Using Gmail or Microsoft 365? Connect the Gmail or Outlook app instead. Email (any mailbox) is for other providers and custom domain email.

Make it available to a customer

As a partner, add Email (any mailbox) to the customer’s apps: The customer then connects their mailbox from the Integration page in their portal.

What you need to connect

Your email provider can give you these details:
  • Incoming mail (IMAP) server and port — often imap.yourdomain.com, port 993
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server and port — often smtp.yourdomain.com, port 587 or 465
  • The mailbox username (usually the full email address) and password
If your mailbox uses two-step sign-in, create an app password with your provider and use that instead of your normal password.

Connect the mailbox

  1. In the customer portal, open Integration and find Email (any mailbox).
  2. Enter a name for the mailbox, the email address, the server details, and the sign-in details.
  3. Test the connection, fix anything it reports, and save.
  4. Choose which agents can use the mailbox and what each one is allowed to do.

Choose what each agent can do

Give each agent the lowest level it needs. You can change it at any time. Agents can never permanently delete email unless you also turn on Allow permanent delete. See Let agents delete email.

Approve email before it’s sent

With Send approval, the agent’s email is held until you approve or reject it. This is the safer choice for most agents. Only choose Send for an agent you trust to email people without review.

If the connection fails

  • Check the server names and ports with your email provider.
  • Try the full email address as the username.
  • If two-step sign-in is on, use an app password.
  • Check that your provider allows IMAP and SMTP connections — some turn them off by default.

If an agent can’t use the mailbox

  • Check the agent is assigned to the same customer as the mailbox.
  • Check the agent’s access level allows the action — for example, Read can’t send email.
